Lady Gaga Stars in New 'House of Gucci' Trailer
The character posters and first trailer for Ridley Scott's highly-anticipated film House of Gucci have been released. And everyone's favorite Mother Monster, Lady Gaga, is taking center stage.
The film, directed and co-produced by Scott, has Gaga cast as Patrizia Reggiani: the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci. The movie also stars Adam Driver (as Maurizio), Jared Leto (as Paolo Gucci), Jeremy Irons (as Rodolfo Gucci), Jack Huston (as Domenico De Sole), Salma Hayek (as Giuseppina “Pina” Auriemma), and Al Pacino (as Aldo Gucci).
House of Gucci is based on Sara Gay Forden’s book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. The movie recreates the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci. Patrizia Reggiani was convicted of ordering his murder in 1998, however she was released from prison in 2014.
In addition to Scott's directing and a star-studded cast, the film was scored by Harry Gregson-Williams, who has also composed music for the Metal Gear videogame series, Toy Story, The Martian, The Zookeeper's Wife, and the Shrek franchise.
In other Gaga news, it was recently announced she will be doing her final shows with longtime friend Tony Bennett at Radio City Music Hall. In late May, Gaga made another film appearance in HBO Max's Friends: The Reunion. And for those wondering: yes, House of Gucci was the film Gaga was gone for during the infamous puppynapping of her two French bulldogs.
House of Gucci is set to hit theaters November 24. Watch the trailer below.
