Live365's 1st Annual North Pole Live Holiday Song Tournament Recap

Our 1st Annual North Pole Live Holiday Song Tournament ended on Tuesday, so we wanted to do a quick recap to go over the highlights of the tournament!

Firstly, the winner of the tournament and the song that has officially been named "Best Holiday Song" is "White Christmas!"

Overall, it has been a pretty wild tournament with a ton of close battles, including the final round! In fact, "White Christmas" only beat out "Silent Night" by 2 votes from the Twitter poll! The Facebook poll was actually a dead even tie. However, "White Christmas" ultimately beat out every song to be crowned "Best Holiday Song."

The final songs, "Silent Night" and "White Christmas," defeated some really big songs throughout the tournament. For example, "Silent Night" beat out "Let It Snow," "Joy to the World," and "O Holy Night" while "White Christmas" was victorious over "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," and "Jingle Bell Rock."

We started out with 64 popular holiday songs and we narrowed it down to 1 throughout the last month and a half, so there were a ton of big matchups! Some notable matchups were "Little Saint Nick" by Beach Boys vs. "Last Christmas" by Wham!, "Let It Snow" vs. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," and "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" vs. "Jingle Bells."

We hope that you enjoyed following along with the tournament and we're looking forward to bringing the tournament back next holiday season!
