Marty Stuart Lines Up Chris Stapleton, John Prine, & More for Hall of Fame Concerts
Marty Stuart has announced the lineups for his three themed nights of performances as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Artist-in-Residence. Chris and Morgane Stapleton, Old Crow Medicine Show, John Prine, and Emmylou Harris will all join Stuart onstage for his series of intimate shows.
The first show, which will take place on Sept. 11 in Nashville, is titled “The Pilgrim.” This night will be dedicated to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Stuart’s album The Pilgrim. Chris and Morgane Stapleton, Country Music Hall of Fame members Emmylou Harris and Connie Smith, and Gary Carter and Kristin Wilkinson with her Superlative Strings will all join the singer-songwriter.
On Sept. 18, Stuart will celebrate country music of the 1960s with his second Hall of Fame show entitled “Psychedelic Jam-Bo-Ree.” Guests will include Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman of The Byrds, Connie Smith, Old Crow Medicine Show, Buck Trent, Kenny Lovelace, Jim Lauderdale, the Grand Ole Opry Square Dancers, and the Fabulous Superlatives.
The final performance on Sept. 25 will be an acoustic set to showcase country music’s musical stories. “Songs That Tell a Story” will feature some of the most influential storytellers including John Prine, Doug Kershaw, Dallas Frazier, Brandy Clark, and the Fabulous Superlatives.
