Mick Jagger to Star in Art Heist Thriller 'The Burnt Orange Heresy'
The new art heist film The Burnt Orange Heresy starring Mick Jagger is set to premiere as the closer at the upcoming Venice Film Festival, which is taking place Aug. 28 to Sept. 7.
Directed by Italian director Giuseppe Capotondi, the film is an adaptation of American novelist Charles Willeford’s book of the same title. Jagger, who plays a wealthy art collector named Joseph Cassidy, stars opposite Donald Sutherland, Claes Bang, and Elizabeth Debicki.
Described as a contemporary “erotic neo-noir thriller” in the festival’s synopsis, Cassidy recruits a couple (Bang and Debicki) to steal a piece of artwork from a famous artist (Sutherland).
The Burnt Orange Heresy premieres on Sept. 7 at Venice Lido.
