Neil Young Preps Live Stream Series Amid Coronavirus Emergency
Neil Young has announced that he'll be doing a series of live streams from his living room amid the coronavirus emergency.
Young wrote on his Neil Young Archives site, "Because we are all at home and not many are venturing out, we will try to do a stream from my fireplace with my lovely wife filming."
His wife, actress Daryl Hannah, will film the "Fireside Sessions" and they will include "down-home production, a few songs, [and] a little time together." Young has not yet announced when the series will begin, but the announcement will come via the Neil Young Archives.
In addition to his live stream series, the Neil Young Archives are premiering a number of archival films for the site's subscribers.
Young is just one of many artists that are now turning to live streaming as a result of the cancellation or postponement of all live events as well as the widespread shutdown of all nonessential business in cities around the world.
