Train Announce New Album 'AM Gold' & Summer Tour
Train are back on track! The San Francisco rock band have announced a new album and tour that will both be happening in 2022.
The band’s 11th studio album, AM Gold, is set to drop May 20 via Columbia Records. The LP will be the follow-up to 2017’s A Girl, A Bottle, A Boat. In addition to the album announcement, they have also shared the record's title track.
“Writing songs for two and a half years in front of video screens instead of being in the presence of other humans has been a long, strange trip. And now here we are,” frontman Pat Monahan said. “It has to start with love. Love that goes into work comes out of work. We love this song, this album, and our fans. Thank you for waiting so long for us.”
Following AM Gold's release, the band will take the album on the road for an extensive summer tour. Alongside Train, the tour will feature Jewel and Blues Traveler with openers Thunderstorm Artis and Will Anderson.
Tickets for the tour go on sale next Friday (February 25) at 10am local time, with a pre-sale on February 23. You can find more information here. To hype up fans, Train has shared a funny tour trailer featuring Ken Jeong doing the thing he does best: getting excited.
