A revolution started in one of the most unlikely places in the early 1980's. From the heart of Minnesota came a fusion of funk, rock, punk, synth-pop and new wave that would become the sound of a generation, The Minneapolis Sound. We here at Minneapolis Sound Radio celebrate the past and the artists that created a new breed of music. We celebrate the inspirations that helped inspire the Minneapolis Sound and we also celebrate the current artists coming out of the twin cities that are creating their own new sound.
