Dan + Shay Share New Single Ahead of Upcoming Album 'Good Things'

Superstar country duo Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney (otherwise known as Dan + Shay) shared over social media they will be releasing a new album on August 13. Called Good Things, the record will be their fourth studio album and include 12 tracks.

Included among those tracks are previously-released singles “I Should Probably Go To Bed,” “Glad You Exist,” and their Justin Bieber-assisted “10,000 Hours.”

“We poured every bit of our hearts into this project and have never been more excited for anything in our entire lives. can’t wait for it to be yours so soon,” Smyers and Mooney wrote in an Instagram caption.

The album was produced by Smyers and is the follow-up to the duo's 2018 record Dan + Shay, which hit No. 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Jason Evigan, Scott Hendricks, and Jordan Reynolds also assisted with production. Co-writers on the album include Shawn Mendes, Julia Michaels, Old Dominion member Brad Tursi, and more.

Today (July 16), the pair shared Good Things' title track, as well as an accompanying music video. The visual was directed by Patrick Tracy, who also helmed the videos for "10,000 Hours," "I Should Probably Go To Bed," "Tequila," and other Dan + Shay songs. Tracy has also worked on music videos for Halsey, All Time Low, and Gone West.

Despite not being released yet, Good Things has already made a bit of country music history. “10,000 Hours” spent 21 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart: the fifth-longest stretch in the chart's history. The song then went on to win the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance - Dan + Shay's historic third consecutive win in that category.

Additionally, Dan + Shay headlined NBC’s Citi Music Series earlier this morning on TODAY. You can check out their performances on TODAY's website. They'll be giving more live performances this fall, during their 30-date arena tour that's set to take place from Sept. 9 to Dec. 7.

Good Things can be pre-ordered and/or pre-saved here.
