Watch Freddie Mercury's Newly Remastered 4K Music Video 'Living On My Own'

Ahead of the Oct. 11 release of the Freddie Mercury Never Boring box set, Hollywood Records has released a newly remastered 4K music video for Mercury's "Living On My Own."

The new video was re-created from the original raw footage of Mercury's 39th birthday party, which took place at Munich, Germany's legendary Mrs Henderson transvestite club. Austrian director Rudi Dolezal used a ceiling-mounted 35mm camera throughout the night to capture Mercury and his guests partying in the mandatory black-and-white drag dress code.

According to a statement, 300 guests were invited, including the singer's ex-girlfriend Mary Austin, his longtime lover Jim Hutton, Queen guitarist Brian May, former manager John Reid, Culture Club's Boy George, Visage singer Steve Strange, and "a colorful Munich coterie of entertainers, singers and cross dressers with famous paparazzi photographer Richard Young dressed in full drag taking the photos."

The video, which was banned from being shown on television due to "perceived promiscuity," is now available to view in HD with enhanced sound.
