"The Cat" is a nod to the Newnan High School Cougars. The first song played on The Cat, was "Dancing in the Flames" by the Weeknd on October 26, 2024 at 5pm. Around mid February 2025 the station upgraded to a new remote server through live365, supported broadcast program management system called Station Playlist, significantly improving the over all sound and allowing for 'real time" voice tracking. The music format is Mainstream Contemporary Hit Radio / Hot Adult Contemporary. The free and streaming station has a short news cast at the top of each hour, and two long set's of continuous music every hour. Please pass it on, with your help and loyal listening, we can grow this out of the test phase and into something much larger and fun...best part of all is that it is free, always with refreshed new music plus the songs you love. In fact The Cat has added a "Sneak Preview" music category of around 30 to 40 songs that plays every hour featuring a new realease from the record labels, but the whole package is designed to be amazing. Streem at home on the device of your choice or bluetooth The Cat full blast in the car! With the money you save each year (several hundred dollars) on on-demand streeming services, and that expensive satelite radio, think what you could use all that extra cash for?
