Music Exploration started as a lecture series in 2007. The idea behind the series was to offer a live and humorous format to people interested in learning more about great music. It was a combination of lecture, live performance and slide shows that ending with refreshments that were often related to the topics discussed. After offering a weekly radio program on the more rare or less frequently heard classical composers and compositions of the last 500 years, it felt like it was time to offer a station and podcasts to reach out to more listeners.
